There’s a LOT that’s new at the Famous Canadian Beer Run this year!
Fire pit, Muskoka chairs, a view of the lake and your favourite ice cold beer. This year we’re taking over even more space at Ontario Place, expanding our Festival area to include an entirely new zone where you can chill “Muskoka-style” while listening to the sounds of an acoustic guitarist play your favourite campfire tunes. Cedar Cove (just a footbridge away from our main Festival area) is the perfect spot to kick back post-run for an afternoon with your friends. Check it out for the ultimate Canadian cottage experience, right in the city!
Did someone say ice skating? You heard right! Ontario Place’s synthetic ice skating rink will be up and running and open to anyone who wants to take a spin. About a minute walk from the Festival area, it’s totally free to hit the rink. Bring your own skates (you can leave them in our free bag check while you run) or rent a pair on-site! Hit the rink after last call and watch the sun set over Lake Ontario – the perfect end to the Famous Canadian Beer Run 2018!
Beer yoga, anyone? Last year’s free morning yoga classes were so popular, that we’re bringing them back again! Ashley Kokelj of Yoga On Tap will be running free yoga classes throughout the day that you can drop in on anytime. Bring your beer stein along and sip and stretch your way to a perfect recovery from you run. We’ll be running the classes in our expanded Cedar Cove area, so you’ll be able to enjoy stretching out away from the main stage.
Hate yoga? We’ve got free massages, too! The good folks from Triangle Phyisotherapy are back to soothe your sore and not-so-sore muscles! Cross the finish line, grab your recovery beer and head over to enjoy a free rubdown. Thanks, Triangle!
More beer, more food, more fun! As our event continues to grow, so does the list of incredible vendors that will be participating this year.
